On fb, blue sky, and twitter (which have algorithms to only show my posts to a few followers) a popular meme I post might get 3-5 likes.

(note: twitt account has since been deleted)

On the fediverse (which has no algorithms so all my followers get my posts on their timeline) the same meme might get 100-200 likes.

Despite having even less followers on the fediverse than my old fb and twitter accounts. Because people actually get to see the things you post.
