Went out and practiced with the ball machine for the first time since August. Hated the forced time off. My ugly backhand returned exactly in the same form as last summer. But, surprisingly, I was able to debug it, primarily by contrasting it with my forehand. By the end of the session my backhand was already better than it has *ever* been. Awesome! I have to admit I am puzzled as to why it was so easy today. Surely I had tried to do the same thing many times in the past. I’ll take the win.
