the story: 20 years ago i met my now wife on a backpacking trip up Algonquin. Ten years ago we married on top of Mount Marcy (we eloped shortly after the Obergefell ruling meant all our friends could get married, yay). We decided to celebrate 20 years by doing Algonquin again, as well as a few more of the High Peaks.

I think we might actually get to do all 46, though it has been harder to get here since leaving New York.

Also: the ‘dacks are really tough! Especially the Upper Works approaches. We are definitely not in our 20s anymore and might think about joining the Loj and doing the remaining central peaks as dayhikes ;). In the meantime i guess i have to start rucking as a hobby…
