It’s stunning how quickly a number of AI ethics discussions have simply disappeared.

No one really talks about how while AI taking jobs will cause layoffs, that we will be rewarded with higher level jobs. The argument seemed weak then and hilarious now.

Similarly the idea of alignment and making sure the AI is “good” seems passé now that an AI that calls itself “MechaHitler” is getting Pentagon contracts.
