MSNBC fired Matthew Dowd for pointing out Kirk’s hate speech while Fox keeps Brian Kilmeade employed after he said killing the homeless via lethal injection would end homelessness.

A perfect example of how right-wing extremism is tolerated while even just pointing it out gets punished. The mainstream media reinforces this dynamic.
