I wrote about the great Reuters investigation into rampant Chinese scams on Meta's platforms and the class-action case that has the company worried https://www.platformer.news/meta-scams-china-section-230/

Meta will fight this case to the end, because it has too much to lose if the Ninth Circuit's logic holds. But the company's user base has reason to fight, too. Meta has made clear to them that their individual losses are of no real concern to it. The number of scams that it hosts each day shocks the conscience. In far too many cases, when asked to defend its users against scammers, Meta has instead acted as their accomplice.
