A colleague did benchmarks of our new internal web app toolkit-- slogan “use the browser; it's fast” -- pitted against React. It was not a contest. It was a a rout.

So happy I got to help make that work happen in the way managers help work happen: by telling the person whose idea it was that it was a really good idea, and giving the people involved as much space as possible to do the work.

Next challenge is to find a way to let them present on it in public. This is not a company that does open source work as a habit. It's so weird to me.

Something something we're hiring
something something both web application developers AND Rust-writing service developers

US-located people only; healthcare; a project worth doing because medical records SUCK; stability because we were recently acquired but competitive compensation. Well, not competitive with the FAANGs or the bushels of money the AI companies shower on people, but you know, normally competitive if you're in the Silly Valley.
