I got my first federal job in 1985, I retired from my last federal job at the end of 2023.

I became very vocal about how inefficient working for the government had become. It was like trying to drive an old car desperately in need of a tune-up.

What's going on now feels like that car was taken to a repair shop,, but instead of doing the tune-up they fired the mechanic, took the tires off, removed the gas tank, and broke the windshield.

I want the bureaucracy to be fixed, not crippled.
