It's that time of year again: make sure to get your COVID-19 shots! It's not just the right thing to do for public health: it's an act of defiance against RFK Jr, who is desperately trying to deprive Americans of vaccines so diseases (like measles) can spread.
There's a lot of confusion over COVID-19 vaccine availability after the anti-science crackdown by the guy with the literal brain parasite. What does it mean that the shot is "not recommended" for most Americans? Will health insurance companies not pay for it? Will pharmacies not offer it?
Here in Texas, I went to an HEB pharmacy and got it. I didn't have to provide health insurance information: it was free. I'm unclear on if I would have gotten it without a qualifying condition. Your mileage may vary, and this is a situation that could change rapidly, but I recommend going to your local pharmacy and trying to get it while you can.
