이번 독일 NRW, 작센, 브란덴부르크 등에서 실시한 지방선거에서 극우 AfD당이 대참패. 동쪽 서쪽 가리지 않고, 심지어는 단독 출마한 후보도 과반수 득표를 못해(특정 주에서는 후보가 한명 뿐일 경우 투표시 출마하지 않은 자의 이름을 적어 그 사람에게 투표할 수 있음) 자진 사퇴하는 등, 거의 모든 동네에서 선거 패배.
