I don't have a BlueSky account but I am half-tempted to start one to address some misinformation (GenX, cultural wedging) making the rounds that takes literally seconds to disprove.

I will just say that many to most schools in the US in the 1980s were able to watch live television broadcasts in the classroom and often did when there were important things happening. Even the small town schools generally had access to live television, the same as at home.
