hint, if you think you might need to take your assistive mobility gear to Congress and are unsure about it (pack weight, bulk, etc.) it's still a good idea to take it, even if you are not a daily user. Canes, crutches, walkers, etc. are available in Hamburg during business hours but it's no fun having to hunt something down last-minute and probably getting whatever is just available in-store as it might not be the best fit. Also test your gear before going (I learned this the hard way).

Also- please make sure your gear is visible as dark-colored materials can virtually disappear in some areas which makes it harder for everyone (another lesson learned the hard way). People will generally give you the extra walking space as long as they can see what you need. Last year I posted about the issue and some people pointed me in the right direction to a UV-Tape display and it worked really well.

View of a carpeted floor in the Hamburg Congress Center demonstrating how a dark walking cane blends in. View of a different room in Hamburg Congress Center showing a walking cane with two contrasting colors of UV-Tape added to the base and top. Two colors are good so that it still shows up in different conditions.
