I first started doing this with Tot back in 2020. Totally stumbled onto it because a lot of the problems were reported on Twitter and I kept track of them with URLs.

Finally, don't be a lazy ass with your release notes.

You'll eventually shoot yourself in the foot with "Bug fixes and improvements" because you won't have a record of when an important thing happened.

Good notes are for your own benefit as much as your customer's.
