Elections Canada has a nice clear and simple page here with a table featuring population, electors, ballots cast, and percentages in every election and referendum since 1867. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

Excluding referenda, the average since confederation is 70%. Highest was 79.4% in 1958 and others in the 70s in the 1950s/60s.

The lowest was 58.8% in 2008.

Our last election over 70% was 75% in 1988 (Mulroney)
