ミネソタ州在住のシスジェンダーの18歳の少女がレストランで女性トイレを利用していたところ、店員がトイレのドアをノックし、「あなたは男性なので出ていくように」と言われた事件を巡り、店側を性差別で法的に訴えました。性別を証明するために服を着たままの胸を店員に見せるよう強要されたとのこと。こうしたいわゆるジェンダー・ポリシングは反トランスジェンダーの激化とともにあちこちで発生しており、女性の「女らしさ」を取り締まる風潮が悪化しています。
