Climate change
At the rate Toronto summer weather seems to be going, my bike club¹ probably should start changing what rides are scheduled in July in various programs so that as much as possible the rides are shaded, near the lake, and shorter. Normally we ramp up the distance over the summer, peaking in late August and early September, but dialing it back in July may be increasingly necessary to avoid outright cancelling lots of rides.
