AI and rich people and economics
A sudden depressing, grim thought: a world in which rich people believe "AI" will take over all of the menial paperwork jobs is one where the rich people don't have to care if the not-rich people get educated, can read, and so on. Capable public schooling? Necessary if you need a lot of clerks and people who can read and type, not necessary if "AI" is doing it all for your company.
Suddenly I see the attacks on public schooling in a new light.
