I wound up looking at a Youtube video briefly just now and the recommendation sidebar was so full of obnoxious shit¹ that I finally looked up how to get rid of it. The result is much more pleasant and the video itself has more room and is bigger, so double win. I got the uBlock Origin rules for it from:

¹ I'm not logged in to YT (I don't even have an account) and I flush cookies from them all the time. If these were default recommendations, YT sure is something (bad).
