You're arguing with religion - logic and evidence won't help.

And that applies to both the "AI is junk" camp and the "AI will replace us all" camp. They're human, and most people crave simple answers they don't have to think about.

You are using the AI as "spicy search engine" here - letting it poke thru the corpus and echo back things that might fit - then applying your own research and analysis on top. As you should. But for the "never AI" camp - they stopped listening at "I used an AI to..." - and they won't listen now.

The reality is AI is a useful tool with some very spicy failure modes. In the hands of an intelligent, experienced operator, it makes a good assistant. You can't trust it - but you aren't, you're verifying the assertions it makes, and adding your own research.

Thing is, that's a level of subtlety that's beyond a lot of folks.
