@codinghorrorJeff Atwood meanwhile the current AI bubble is hust selling some services, and has reached the "just boil off one more lake, bro!" meme: it is deep into the "diminishing returns" phase of the curve, where each new model generation requires burning even more ludicrous amount of resources for marginal improvements, while pretenting that "AGI/singularity/whatever" is just around the corner.

@dryak disagree, again, because the peace dividends of the smartphone wars were very real. And there is utility here, but apparently most people are using the "I'll go out of my way to agree with you and be amicable and never push back or ask for clarification" free models?
