If people begin (and keep) electing Social Democrats[1] into power, things might look different. But that requires a cultivated awareness that the Politics of Care (e.g. GMI & UHC) are not only possible and meaningful, but can also deliver meaningful results.

And then we are back to the FCC fairness doctrine. The U.S. is really good at marketing. Maybe it's time it got really good at marketing the right thing?

@ermoermo | Rune Morling I think it's gonna be nullification and soft succession to the bone, which isn't.. a great.. outcome, but we have ZERO leaders as strong as FDR or Lincoln to get us through this. I see absolutely nobody of that caliber on the landscape today. infosec.exchange/@codinghorror
