AI ruins everything [uni]

Going to uni a few years ago was like being a sponge. Constant information coming at me and I had to absorb as much as possible.

Now it's like being the work experience kid at Legal Aid. Staff present you with bullshit, you expend a bit of effort finding both the real information and a paper on why that particular type of AI is unsuitable for use in education. They blow you off, repeat.

AI ruins everything [uni]

I used to spend all my time learning from interesting people.

Now I spend all my time trying to pull interesting people out of AI holes and forcing them to engage with humans.

The student/lecturer relationship has completely changed over the last few years. The amount of time and effort I've seen students expend trying to keep lecturers on-track and teaching (rather than off on AI tangents) is unprecedented. We are getting to the point where students are having to lead the interaction to get anything done.
