The Commission’s deregulation agenda has opened the door to Big Tech lobbying.
🫂 During a tour in Silicon Valley, EU Commissioner Virkkunen promised Big Tech CEOs to ‘simplify’ EU rules.

🧐In so-called Reality Checks, secretive meetings exempted from transparency rules, the Commission has almost exclusively gathered input from industry.

Out of a total of 138 invitees, 114 represented corporate interests.
We have filed an Ombudsman complaint against this biased consultation process.
