The conflict I’m having with “AI” is, that I wanted systems and robots to talk to since I was a little kid. C3PO, JARVIS, even Marvin. These are all examples of humble, helpful beings. Something I’d like strive for.

The people pushing the current wave are not at all value aligned AT ALL. They don’t care whether they are birthing skynet, as long as it makes them rich for their sad little existence on this planet. Their talk about regulation is nothing more than moat building.
