This may sound like I'm snarking on Bluesky again with this one; I'm not (and I certainly wouldn't snark on Wikipedia). I hope I am wrong about this, it's really that most of the rest of traditional media and the old social media companies have been captured.
Simultaneously, I believe:
- If the Trump administration goes after Bluesky, this is a case where we clearly side with Bluesky. It doesn't help anyone to be under attack like that.
- It's also a motivating reason to make Bluesky not depend on one corporation sooner than later, and encourage such designs generally, wherever possible.
