weight loss, stats, glp-1, diet

Unfortunately, insurance will not cover the GLP-1. Neither my US insurance would, nor will Ontario's state insurance, despite me having qualifying conditions. So I am paying out of pocket.

It is expensive. About $6k USD/year. And this is a terrible time for me to be taking on those kinds of expenses.

But I did the back of the napkin math. Where I was going, if I didn't do something about this, was going to be MUCH more expensive.

diet, org-mode, data!

But that's all an aside. I track my diet information in a minimalist system I developed called org-diet. I think the source code might be up somewhere, I dunno. It's pretty hacky, it's pretty much made for me. I originally started it for calorie tracking, but right now I just use it to track weigh-ins and generate statistics and make a few notes.

But the data may be much more interesting, because you can see diet information since 2009. Including strong evidence that calorie tracking *does work*, since for years I tracked *everything* I ate. It also includes many recipes (well really, just their ingredients, you will have to figure out most of how to cook the recipes yourself)

I haven't put an updated copy of this up in years but... here's the data all the way leading up to today. Feel free to do spy on it. dustycloud.org/tmp/diet.org
