It occurs to me that there are other voices we should be listening to that aren't European or American in our internet spaces.

So Fediverse who else should we be reading when we worry about Internet Freedom?

About the centralisation dangers and censorship on the internet?

Who are we drowning out?

EDIT: :BoostOK:

Like seriously, if you have a suggestion please reply. I'm enthusiastically asking.

@onepictEsther Payne :bisexual_flag: Chinese activists. The PRC has the most sophisticated and comprehensive internet censorship and filtering mechanism in the world, and importantly: they also export their technology and knowledge to other repressive regimes.

The Great Firewall Report site for technical reports and descriptions of censorship mechanisms: gfw.report/en/
The Net4People forum, hosted on Github issues, where people (not only Chinese but also Russians, Iranians, etc) discuss network censorship: github.com/net4people/bbs
