Congressional committees have put forward a funding proposal for the and the among other science agencies -- that counters the President's Office request to slash federal agencies.

For NASA, it only cuts 1-2% over last year's enacted budget, instead of the 50% projected cuts from the President's request. EPA gets a 4% cut instead of 55%... It also saves Goddard spaceflight center from being shuttered and stops reorganization activities that are threatening US science leadership.

The minibus bill will go to a House and then a vote starting this week.

This is our chance to save science! Of all the things you could call your representative on Wednesday, make it this!
