@phfPeter H. Fröhlich I think the key to fun snow biking is not so much technique, but timing. It is significantly easier to ride if you're the one making fresh tracks in new snow. If it's already chopped up by pedestrians/cars, it can be unrideable. So, you got to get out early (4-5am).

Equipment wise: I'm riding a Surly Crosscheck with 700x42 studded tires (studs don't do much of anything in fresh snow though).
