As part of the onboarding process for my MAT, I have to go through a whole orientation process that's required for all students of the university.
All I can say is that the experience now seems *WILDLY* more supportive than I ever remember it.
Then: Dean of students gets up and says "You can't have a keg in your dorm room." Sits back down.
Now: 2-hour mandatory course on alcohol, addiction, well-being, mental health, interventions, professional resources, etc.
This seems like progress.
