대전충남특별시는 현재 "추진 중" 단계에 있으며
통합 관련 법안이 발의되어 "심사 중" 단계에 있습니다.
이 법안이 통과되느냐 아니냐에 따라서
2026년 지방 선거에서
지방자치단체장이 통합되어 1명 선출될지,
아니면 기존 2명으로 선출될지가
결정된다고 합니다.
대충특별시라는 작명도 확정된 건 아닙니다.
