Taiwanese Meta exodus
I stopped using Instagram and WhatsApp some time ago. Never touched Threads. Facebook … is going to be difficult, which is upsetting.
Facebook is my Rolodex to relatives in Taiwan, decades of work friends, classmates now spread all over the world. There is no easy way to move this.
I was even thinking about reaching out and ask for email one by one.

前天 Mastodon 創辦人 Eugen Rochko 說從 Meta 遷移過去的台灣用戶已逾兩萬人。
Mastodon 是長得有點像推特的微型部落格，但運作方式和臉書、推特等傳統社群網路非常不同。它由許多大大小小的站點相連，組成「聯邦宇宙」（fediverse）。有些站點甚至會用 Mastodon 以外的開源軟體架設。多元、開源、去中心化等特性讓聯邦宇宙較傳統社群網路更加自由、具有韌性。
