I assume you mean oss maintainers expressing personal opinions. 1️⃣ most things that matter are social and/or political 2️⃣ costly opinions > cheap ones 3️⃣ genuineness > 'neutrality' I hope I am willing to listen — and even change my mind, esp. if someone I trust takes a stand roe.dev/ama #ama

How do you feel about political and/or social topics in open source ? Should we try and ensure we stay "neutral" or should we take stances and risk alienating a part of the community ?
