The 3 largest fediverse platforms were created by 2 germans and 1 canadian.

Not just that, but you have people like @aralAral Balkan building https://small-tech.org/ and dozens of other builders across the world.

The fediverse knows no borders, and in dire times like these, will become increasingly important.

I wish I could say the same for Bluesky.
