It really has been a bittersweet year, and I have worked hard on myself to become a better developer, leader and person.

Words only mean so much, it’s action that matters. While some doubted me and my intentions, I became more focused on building than ever.

Loops belongs to the people, and is now fully open source.

I appreciate all the people that stuck with me and never lost hope or respect.

You deserve better FOSS leaders, and I’m eager to continue being a positive force in the fedi!

RE: mastodon.social/@dansup/115712

Some people who signed a petition to cancel my funding in Jan have come back around and want to work together now!

That’s progress. And I can’t wait for them to join the team!

I don’t hold any ill will, and want to prove to everyone that I’ve learned my lesson and will no longer act in such egotistical and immature ways.

We’re all in this together, and no dev or project is above any other. I will strive to knock your socks off with commits, not promises.

I look forward to a productive 2026 🚀
