Catching a late afternoon December sunset on Hill Lane at Penshaw, Sunderland in NE England.
Visited this location with my camera a number of times in the run-up to the winter solstice, knowing that the sun sets at just the right point of the compass at this time of the year (even captured it in the snow!).
Every time I hope someone will pass by, maybe someone on horseback from the nearby stables, after all, it is a public bridleway.
I'm still hoping!

A December sunset seen looking down a country lane with a track leading the eye into the composition.
