If you consider going to the US, whatever the reason, don’t, for your own safety.

If you consider organizing an event to the US for an international community, you’re putting people’s lives at risk.

If you want an English-speaking environment for an international event, pick Canada or the UK. Heck, even in Scandinavian countries everyone speaks English.

@thibaultamartinThib I've been thinking about proposing moving PyCon US to Canada because of these international-hostile US policy changes, at least while the current US president is scheduled to remain in office. Can of worms.

Less radical: Maybe I'll just personally start going to EuroPython instead of PyCon US. I like meeting folks from outside the US.
