I don't think we talk enough about how much the huge wave of devs from 2010's coding bootcamps led to the current situation.

I was all for them because it seemed like a great way to infuse some diversity and new perspectives into a moribund industry.

Instead it became an opportunity to deskill. I personally saw mentoring & teaching techniques for abstraction & design cast aside in favor of en masse copy paste.

Now copy paste has been automated and everyone's losing their minds. Like, yeah?
