There's a sort a rite of passage many seem to go through in their 40s or 50s (sample tested: me and friends). You lose range of motion in one shoulder. And then the other. Medical science has no explanation and no cure to offer. It goes away after a couple of years. Known as adhesive capsulitis or "frozen shoulder". Very strange.
