If something doesn't work, even if it seems like a trivial issue, the easiest solution is to just make a new environment and download the appropriate dependencies for whatever you're doing. I installed 17 copies of the entire Laniakea Supercluster in the kitchen just to make breakfast this morning. I wonder where I put them.
