"Conservative" is just a euphemism for backwards.

Backward people who want to see a return to the days of kings and peasants.
Backward people who see people of one colour as more important than another.
Backward people who want to see the return of diseases that were once eliminated.
Backward people who want to take away the rights of women.
Backward people who think economics is a zero sum game.
Backward people who are terrified of anyone whose sexuality is different from theirs.

After seeing years of slow forward progress over my lifetime it's so sad to see a backward country like the US throwing it all away.
