You all know how I feel about vanity publishers, companies that prey on writers who do not understand their rights and charge obscene amounts of money without actually providing any services or support. Well, recently I spoke to a colleague who worked with a traditional publisher who gave them a different type of contract than what I am used to, and I had thoughts about it.
