I'll soon give a talk about "Growing and Development" (incremental work, iteration, evolutionary design, ...). Currently trying ways to illustrate my point.
Here's an illustration how a juniper tree might develop in the coming years (but it will probably turn out differently). What do you think?

A photo of a juniper tree in a red-white pot. It is leaning to the right. It has many branches, but sparse foliage.A drawing of the juniper tree how it might develop in 1-2 years: The foliage has grown dense and longer. Some branches are thicker.A drawing of the juniper tree after 3-4 years: Some branches have been turned into deadwood, on some of the remaining branches, some pads are developing.A drawing of the juniper tree after 5-8 years: Even more branches have been turned into deadwood. On all remaining branches, the foliage is shaped into dense pads.
