At the Swiss Pavilion with JAXA at #EXPO2025, I helped with an event to BUILD A COMET! This celestial concoction involved dirt, soy sauce, and a ton of dry ice. Water condensation creates whiteness, whereas real comets are black (and don’t necessarily contain soy sauce, which represents organics 😂)

Plates containing artificial comets made in the demonstration sit on a table! The fresher ones are white while the others have gone dark as the water vapour evaporates.
