most ppl will go along with it bc they don’t have an alternative or don’t see the need for one
most ppl who don’t fall into that category will go along with it bc they know how hard an alternative will be, either implementing or just convincing others to, and they aren’t willing to risk their community for it
and more people will fall thru the cracks
the internet used to be such an escape for me, a place where i had community and a place where i felt less powerless
but increasingly my feeling about the internet is like a fell into a very attractive trap for ppl like me
