I have a queston for y'all: do you believe that note taking is crucial for learning and productivity?

At school I hated taking notes and I considered teachers who referenced book pages or gave you printed/digital resources to study unsung heroes.
As an adult I tried many ways to take notes juggling paper and digital but even when I diligently take notes I rarely reference these back so I doubt on the efficacy of the process. Years old notes for Udemy courses are rotting away in my old iPad and my Kobo is full of annotations I'll never look back.

Maybe its topic dependent?

A series of note taking tools:
- A binder with high school math notes
- An iPad with Apple Pencil
- A Kobo showing annotations for a book
- A sealed Moleskine weekly planner
- A spiral notebook
