@fasterthanlimeamos One of the topics I have for the All Hands is how we should make doctests less special so cargo can support checks, clippy, tests, etc like anything else. Once cargo solves this, nextext should get it "for free"

‘--extract-doctests` and having cargo build them is one approach. For completeness, I also want to discuss having the compiler transform them into test functions though it has a lot of complication to it.
