@MegaMichelleMichelle Hughes EU is now really culturally diverse area... eg. Bulgaria was kind of a "hi tech hub" of former Eastern block, it is located just next to Greece, but perhaps less culturally conservative (?). You would get million+ metropolitan capital, mountains for skiing and hiking, decent sea. Tasty Balkans cuisine (close to all Mediterranean). California-like climate - not too cold, most of the year. € prizes (but mostly lower, than eg. France or Italy). And open access to entire Shengen area. Locals are likely to communicate in basic English (more likely, than eg. in France). Only disadvantage would be that public signs are in Cyrillic (like in Russia and Ukraine), but it takes 15 minutes to learn to read it (just cca 20 characters differ from Latin).

Europe is melting pot of cultures for 2500 years already and many countries here see Trump's MAGA madness as opportunity.
