英國工黨政府星期四宣佈一系列選舉改革，包括把投票年齡由18歲降至16歲，是英國56年來首次調整投票年齡，除非國會突然大幅提早解散，否則16歲青年可在最遲2029年8月舉行的下屆大選投票，將額外多150萬合資格選民。
