We had a 2.5-hour blackout tonight at our house in the Estrie region of Quebec. We're usually really lucky with great electrical coverage here, but losing electricity can be a real danger when temperatures plunge into the -20s outside. Fortunately it's not that cold, and we have a fireplace and warm clothes. So we read books by firelight, played music, and talked. A nice time!
